Floor Plans
The original floor plan on the left had lots of walls and doorways. This family wanted an open living space and a larger dining area. The new layout on the right shows the walls dividing the living room and dining area are gone. The kitchen was extended. The screened porch shape changed from long and narrow to square, and we added a wrap around porch.

structural engineers determined the size of the beam needed to support the opening. The dining area was extended into the existing porch and windows were added.

The original kitchen was small with a doorway to the dining room. The wall would be removed and the kitchen extended.
